Accessibility & Special Assistance

If you or someone travelling with you needs assistance, our airport staff are happy to help.

To ensure the best support, please arrange special assistance through your airline ahead of travel so staff are aware of your needs before you arrive.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program

Busselton Margaret River Airport proudly supports the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, helping us create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all travellers. We understand that airports can be busy and overwhelming, especially for people with hidden or non‑visible disabilities such as autism, anxiety, dementia, sensory or cognitive challenges.

Wearing a sunflower lanyard is a simple, discreet way to let our staff know you may need extra time, patience or clear communication during your journey. Our team is trained to recognise the lanyard and offer support where possible. While the lanyard does not provide fast‑tracking or airline assistance, we encourage passengers to speak with our staff if they need help and to contact their airline directly for any specific or mobility assistance.
